Benefits of Drinking Organic Coffee

Continuing on what was explained last week’s “Can Coffee Make You Sick?”, even though I am not a fan of coffee but I wanted to be fair enough and deliver facts. I always say, nothing was bad from the beginning, but the wrong usage and consumption made things have the reverse impact. I acknowledge that coffee used to offer a range of potential health benefits. ESPECIALLY, ORGANIC coffee, grown without synthetic pesticides or chemicals, has been gaining popularity due to its numerous benefits. Indulge in the rich flavors and discover the incredible benefits of drinking organic coffee.

Benefits of drinking coffee

Research suggests that moderate organic coffee consumption have a potential benefits as:

  • Increased Alertness: obviously!! Coffee contains caffeine, a natural stimulant that can improve cognitive functions, including alertness and concentration.
  • Antioxidant Richness: which as result reduces the risk of chronic diseases: Coffee is a significant source of antioxidants, which help combat oxidative stress and reduce the risk of chronic diseases like:
    • heart disease
    • certain types of cancer
    • Parkinson’s disease, alzehaimer
    • type 2 diabetes
    • stroke
    • prevents gallstones and kidney stones

Not as treatment, coffee can help…and depending on origin and the source of coffee.

  • Mood Enhancement: Caffeine’s impact on the brain can lead to enhanced mood and reduced risk of depression and certain mental health disorders.
  • Enhanced Athletic Performance: Caffeine in coffee can enhance physical performance by increasing adrenaline levels and mobilizing fatty acids from fat tissues. It can lead to improved endurance and faster reaction times during workouts.

And note!!! I am definitely not referring to the coffee where you add in sugar and milk 😣Dr. Grundy once mentioned that polyphenols in coffee, plays an extremely notable part as antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent. Moreover, it is good for our friendly microbes. When you add milk to your coffee, the protein in the milk binds to the polyphenols, cancelling all the benefits you could take from the coffee. Not mentioning the amount of sugar is added in our cups!!!

So, make sure your coffee is ORGANIC, UNPROCESSED, HIGH QUALITY, and don’t over consume it !!!

Finding Balance: Moderation and Individual Tolerance

The key to enjoying the benefits of coffee while minimizing its potential drawbacks lies in moderation and understanding your own body’s response:

  • Know Your Limits: Everyone has a different tolerance to caffeine. Pay attention to how your body reacts to coffee and adjust your consumption accordingly.
  • Mind the Timing: Avoid excessive coffee consumption in the hours leading up to bedtime to prevent sleep disruption.
  • Stay Hydrated: Coffee is a diuretic, which means it can lead to dehydration if consumed excessively. Balance your coffee intake with plenty of water.
  • LISTEN TO YOUR BODY: If you experience negative effects like digestive issues, palpitations, or anxiety, consider reducing your coffee intake or opting for decaffeinated alternatives.

Conclusion

Organic coffee is more than just a beverage; as discussed, it’s a natural elixir of health and vitality. With its rich store of antioxidants, mood-enhancing effects, and potential to reduce the risk of various diseases. Drinking organic coffee offers a host of benefits that make it an excellent addition to your daily routine. So, the next time you savor your organic brew, remember that it’s not just a delicious treat; it’s also a choice that can contribute to a healthier, happier you. And remember to be moderate, wise and always listen to your body.

  1. Thank you for sharing this information. I wasn’t aware of all of the health benefits of the antioxidants in coffee. It’s definitely important to mind the timing of coffee consumption. I can’t consume it past noon or I will be awake all night.

  2. I am all about drinking coffee for health benefits. I love drinking it after eating protein so that is doesn’t impede metabolic function. It is such a wonderful way to start the day.

  3. When I read, milk cancels the benefits, I’m like oh no! I enjoy milk in my coffee. I almost always put milk, or almond milk, or oat or soy in it. I wonder if you can get any benefits from decaf coffee as sometimes I enjoy a cup of decaf after dinner, but without caffeine I wonder if there’s really any benefit to it.

  4. Definitely not a fan of adding sugar to my coffe, but I do add oat milk to it. What are your thoughts about oat milk or other plant-based alternatives?
